ABSA

I have an account which I have been paying regularly. A few weeks ago I get all these threatening sms from Absa - I try calling the numbers given but they are always not available. It came to the stage where I could not handle it any longer so I sent a complaint to the Consumer Council on Sunday 19th July., Complaint was copied to Itumeleng. I received a response from Consumer Council early Monday 20th as well as a call from Itumeleng stating that I had not paid my account since March.

As I pay my account through my bank app I sent her dates and reference numbers, she requested proof of payment which I downloaded from my App and sent to her. However I have not had a response from her and have once again been trying to contact her via emails and telephone calls. I managed to speak to her earlier but she hung up on me. I left 2-3 messages.

How does one deal with these problems during these hard times when we doing our best to pay on time.
