Absa

In December 2025, I cashed out a portion of my investment at Stash Liberty. The amount was transferred into my ABSA account on the same day. However, I could not access the funds. The reason that ABSA provided was it was because the money was floating, reason for this was it is because Liberty made the transaction as a refund and not as a direct debit. ABSA’s Authorisations Department promised to return the funds back to Liberty so that Liberty could make the payment to me but this time as a direct payment. A few days later, ABSA Authorisation Department confirmed that they transferred back the funds to Liberty. However, when I enquired with Liberty nothing appeared on their end. Liberty then requested me to ask ABSA to provide me with some sort of a proof indicating that indeed they have returned the funds back to Liberty. So that Liberty could conduct investigations on their end. I am still waiting for Absa’’s Authorisation Department to get back to me. I even contacted their Action Department that promised to escalate the matter. I am still yet to hear anything back from ABSA Authorisation Department. All I am asking for is some sort of proof to send to Liberty.
