A thorn in our side

If it's not me complaining about their slow to react home insurance it's me writing about how ABSA has poor ***** protection. All of which have happened at the hands of Absa to my parents. Today I write about how this bank refuses to release funds that are owed to my father. My father was paid out by discovery after he took early retirement and now ABSA keeps sending him from pillar to post about releasing his money to him. First they said it's because the amount had about R500 charges that had lapsed (the account wasn't really being used because my parents worked overseas for a while), I digress - he paid the outstanding amount.

But still he cannot access the amount that's reflected on his account. He's able to see it but unable to withdraw it or use it in any way

He's been to the branches multiple times to try resolve this matter but has failed to get assistance. If it's not being sent from pillar to post (including sending proof of payment from discovery which he's produced multiple times), it's being given empty promises of when the money should clear.

At this point can ABSA reverse the money back to discovery or stop tormenting a pensioner and give him what's his

After that, we will leave that bank because it has zero tact in looking after pensioners let alone its customers at large!
