A ********** transaction occurred
A ********** transaction occurred wherein a ******** managed to access my banking details. When he called me on 3 July 2018, he said that his name was Albert, and that he worked for ABSA Credit Card Division. He advised that all our calls was being recorded and that Absa was an accredited service provider; the normal speech that the Bank employees give their clients. Albert called to advise of a promotion that Takealot had with Absa. The offer / promotion was to convert my credit card points into Takealot Vouchers.
Please note that Albert had all my financial information on hand and the following occurred thereafter: - My credit card was utilised to purchase two Samsung cellphones that I had not ordered or received, but had to pay for R31 863.00. - I then called Absa to stop the purchase, but they refused to do so. - I called Takealot to stop the purchase, but they wanted a Police case number and Subpoena before they would assist me. - I have filed a compliant at both Absa ***** and Takealot *****, but they refuse to assist me in anyway.
I feel that the only way to resolve this matter and get my money refunded, is to go to the media. By exposing this case, many other victims will be spared the drama of such cases and loss of money.
Questions: 1. How did someone randomly access my confidential banking information from Absa? 2. How did Takealot.com process the order so quickly? 3. Which employees at Takealot were involved with this transaction? 4. How was the **** profile at Takealot.com created? 5. How was the order placed on the 3 July 2018 and delivered the same day, yet the invoice is dated the 17 August 2018? 6. Why did the profile under Sharon Nel not been picked up when the ***** was first reported? 7. Originally Takealot.com was unable to find an invoice for this transaction. When a Subpoena was submitted, the information was supp****; the question is why?
Please note I have all relevant paperwork and information available.
