A cut above the rest

I recently purchased a vehicle through Absa Vehicle Finance. I received quotes from all the banks and Standard Bank had the lowest rate, but in the end, after battling with Standard Bank for a month, I finally chose to go with Absa even though the premium was more expensive, simply because their service was outstanding. What they did right:

1. Quoted quickly, within 1 day, while my own bank FNB, I had to fight for 2 weeks just to get a quote; 2. Appointed a LOCAL service provider to do the checks on the vehicle and licensing. I dealt with Leonie at Motorlease and she was fantastic. This compared to the provider who Standard Bank appointed, who was in Durban (the seller and I are in Cape Town) and who never followed up once of her own accord. Absa vs Standard in this respect were like night and day. 3. Online contract signing and e-mailing system - very little paper involved. Few institutions are getting this right. We had a bit of a delay because the contract system wasn't 100% but it was sorted out within a day. 4. Reneilwe was patient, professional and rep**** promptly to all my mails throughout.
