I have contacted your credit card department in November 2019, because I have been diagnosed with Prostate Cancer in August 2019, which according to my knowledge, is also covered under the Credit Life insurance and wanted to find out how I would go about claiming from this policy. During this conversation, I was told that generally Prostate Cancer is NOT part of the dreaded / life-threatening medical condition benefits on this policy. I was highly upset and demanded that someone who KNOWS what is covered by this policy, to contact me. I was advised that someone from the claims department would call me back. That NEVER happened.

I have called at least twice again AND sent you further emails requesting a reply to my enquiry to which I have STILL not received any reply : 21 December 2019 15 February 2020 25 June 2021

The Credit Life Insurance policy was active as from 2007-03-01 up to 2021/08/31 (date of cancellation).

Upon my first inquiry during November 2019, I was informed that Prostate Cancer is not covered under this policy, however, after discussing this matter with my insurance broker, I was told that Prostate Cancer should be covered under the Credit Life Insurance benefits (dreaded / life-threatening medical conditions).

Due to the extremely unfair aspects regarding this policy, as well as being informed that the Credit Life insurance does not cover Prostate Cancer, I did not deem it beneficial to keep paying for a product with such limited benefits. I therefore had no other option and requested this policy to be cancelled during August 2020, which was only done during May 2021.

As the Credit Life Insurance policy was still inforce at the time of my diagnosis and as a result of my multiple inquiries not being attended to, I now request that you kindly give this matter your immediate attention or I will have no other option but to refer my case to OMBUDSMAN and other relevant governing authorities.
