3 months pending car finance after pre approval

In Nov/Dec 2014 I made a deal with a dealership to trade in my car, approval came back from Absa but I unfortunately did not get the car another client took it before I could finalise the deal. 2nd application went through where the dealership had now gone out of their way to purchase a car specifically for me. We waited for a contract from Absa and after a week of waiting they advised that I should cancel my dispute that I had logged with Transunion so they could release the contract. When the dispute was cancelled Absa came with other stories that I must settle another debt that I had been servicing of about R6800 and they will honour the deal. The debt was settled on the same day they ordered me to settle but instead of honouring the deal as promised they then sent me an email to say I must put deposit of R20000 which was not required before and my previous car has been sold by the dealership so I cannot even reverse the deal. What annoys me is that the deposit was never a pre-condition for financing my deal, if it was I would have either not sold my car or have at least managed to raise the R20000 on time before my car was sold.
