3 days to approve an OVERDRAFT - Pathetic service!

I have never heard of bank that takes 3 days to approve an overdraft!!! Firstly trying to find the overdraft facility on the online banking is frustrating - I had to google how to do it and apply via the internet. I then received an email asking for ID, proof of residence etc. (as an absa client not sure why I have to provide this). Anyway, I sent everything through on the 13th. I then spoke to a consultant and my cheq account was upgraded and I received an sms saying congratulations overdraft has been provisionally approved ref no ***. And then I waited - no overdraft nothing. I then called back to ask whats happening and was told a consultant will call me back - I'm still waiting. I called 30min ago and was told they now need a 3month bank statement as my salary is not going into my absa account! I said well why didn't you request this to begin with? I sent it through but will be very surprised if anyone gets back to me! Very unprofessional and lack of communication is non existent. When it comes to credit card and you wanting to give me an increase my phone rang off the hook.

Yours in total disappointment
