2 hour wait for a new bank card !

I went into Absa N1 city this morning just to get a new debit card as mine has expired. The lady at the door informed me it is a 2 hour wait. Just for a bank ?? This is insane!! I asked what days or times are better to come when it’s not so busy and she told me it’s always 1,5 to 2 hours wait! I left and went to Capitec as I also have a savings account with them. They were also extremely busy as it is the beginning of the month but they have ample consultants and a super efficient numbering system so I was in and out within 10 min with a new bank card! Absa service is pathetic.
