12 Month Bank Statements cost almost R1000

My mother, who is a pensioner, with no technology or access to internet banking, and needed a print out of your 12month bank statement was told that she would be required to pay 85 per month if printed in store (almost R1000!!!) . How is she supposed to access her banking statements independently? This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. Other banks are charging in the order of 20 to 80 rand for 12months. How can this pricing even be allowed?
