Disappointing and over priced venue

I was so thrilled about this venue for my daughters 2nd birthday party and a lady by the name of Sue was very helpful over the phone when booking and payment (50%) was required. This venue offered a themed set up (at an extra cost) with party packs for the kids. Firstly, let me explain the road getting there - my husband went first to set up the cakes and food while i got my 2 year old ready. On the way, I had to pass shacks next to me on a dirt road, thinking that my GPS was lost as I was literally in a rural settlement. When we arrived at the venue, my husband was literally HOUNDED for the 50% cash balance that was required. Sue, wouldn't even let him unpack his bakkie as she and her husband needed the 50% balance - as though we would have the party and then run away. The grass was dry, there was no green grass in sight (the pics on the net look amazing by the way) and the so called lapa's were tin roofs with wood sticks!! Nothing like a lapa if i may add. Let me explain the toilet facility - In another concrete hut, with a curtain for a door, was a dark little room that had the filthiest toilet I have ever come across, with spider webs above your head and insects around your feet. My guests were too afraid to use the loo. I was VERY disappointed at About Country Parties and honestly think for that amount of money (R5200) it is not worth it AT ALL!!! I will let as many people as I know about this venue. Upsetting and over priced.
