Have a little consideration Abbot

whilst I may not fully understand the way Abbott laboratories coexist or work it is extremely frustrating for a customer or potential customer to have to face such an uphill battle to obtain items that have been manufactured by Abbott laboratories.

I have received two telephone calls from clicks Direct medicine and I have spoken to a consultant by the name of Marti pellow Marti pellow has advised that Abbott will not release the items to them for whatever the reason is I am not 100% certain I have had to endure a waiting period with the medical aid in order to obtain authorisation and after a year of going back and forth with self-made and now comcare I have finally received authorisation with brittle diabetes and a loss of sight in my left eye and vision less than 20% in my right eye it is extremely difficult to use any glucometer that uses test strips for the simple reason I cannot judge correctly and put the blood on the correct part of the test strip that was the reason that compcare had approved the freestyle libre I have been fighting an uphill battle for the past week and a half with clicks Direct medicine and many a consultant regarding the delivery of the freestyle libre upon receiving a telephone call from Mathapeloa few minutes ago I was advised that the reason clicks direct has failed to deliver my medication or the freestyle libre kit was due to the fact that Abbott has restricted the item from being purchased by clicks or any pharmacy my question to Abbott laboratories is why restricted items that customers need to have better control of their sugar levels it is imperative for an insulin-dependent diabetic to always maintain good sugar control and with the freestyle libre that is what a diabetic would have however you guys are now is restricting the purchase of these units they have been ads on television ads on the CDC website stating that these units can be purchased however after a week of trying and nagging and persisting it has been brought to my attention that you to Abbott there is no pharmacy that would be able to stock this item.

my request is simple it is to Abbott laboratories that they please reconsider and allow Plex the opportunity to purchase the item in order for customers like myself to receive their medications as needed.
