AB MARKETING - ANTON BEKKER - DATABASE SALES & EMAIL CAMPAIGNS - TOTAL SHAM

I was contacted by Anton Bekker of AB Marketing by unsolicited email, with a very good database sales offer. I took up the offer and received the databases - they were all 4 or 5 years old, only one of them was newish, being a 2019 database. He then proceeded to talk me into letting him do the entire mailing campaign for us. Very convincing. Asked me to pay the full amout upfront which I refused, but eventually I paid in 3 parts, and almost paid the full amount. He kept on iving me progress reports on the setup of our email campaign. and then he just stopped communicating with me. At one stage he rep**** saying he was at a funeral. Then later after many calls from me that went unanswered, he ranted about how he had lost someone to suicide and it was his fault and and and.....all this is perfectly understandable if it is true, but communication solves many problems and we just didn't get that. Needless to say, our campaign never materialized on its due date and we have never heard back from him. It was clearly a total sham.
