AB Electrical Homepage - 24/7 Electrical & Plumbing Services When I found their number it was for AB Electrical but their invoice is 24/7 Electrical & Plumbing Services I contacted them on Sunday the 1-10-2023 and they agreed to come out 0n the Tuesday 2-10-2023. They bypassed my timer switch to test my geyser and told me the Element, Thermostat and Gasket needed replacing. They quoted me +- R 3 700.00 to do the job. I thought this was totally excessive and they bought the price down to R 2 798.00. I accepted the quote and the replaced the Element, Thermostat and Gasket and left. My wife told me a few days later the geyser was staying on all the time because by evening time our water is normally quite warm but not hot. I assumed they had forgotten the bypassed the Timer switch. I got them to come out and have a look after multiple phone calls. They then told me the Timer Switch need replacing. First of all they told me it was R 450.00 and they said I would have to pay. I told them to go ahead and replace it when they got the Timer Switch After chasing them multiple times they told me today the price was now in the region of R 850.00 and I would have to pay for the Timer Switch. I had originally installed the timer switch and have replaced it once after many years of service so I knew what to look for. They had put the live out for the timer switch into the live in. Effectively bypassing the timer switch in a way post people would not notice. I then connected it correctly and all is working well. They in fact tried to **** me for the inflated price of a Timer Switch. Be very wary of these people as they are trying to take advantage of people that don't know any better and don't know what a fair price is for a job.
