AAA Electricians

I hereby would like to lodge a complaint against AAA electrical Tel no 011 ********** . I received a sms from them advertising their services. I had a problem with my Jacuzzi. The circuit breaker of the heater element kept on tripping after about ten minutes. I decided to contact them to come and investigate and fix the problem. On the 25th April 2016 they send me an electrician “Lee” to investigate and fix. He arrived there and looked at the element, he informed me that the element was burnt and he needs to replace it, he quoted me R1750.00 and he will do the job as soon as he received a sms to proof EFT payment. I have paid via EFT and he replaced the element. He told me to sign the invoice to confirm that he replaced the element. The circuit breaker didn’t go off when he left. I switched it off as I had to bleed the pump first before I can let it run. On Wednesday 27 April 2016 I have bleed the pump. Within 10 minutes the same problem occurred. I phoned Lee and he came out on Wednesday to look at the problem. He took out the element again and said that it also burnt out due to that I had it running without water, I explained to him what I did and he replaced the element and said that he will discuss it with his manager to see if he can claim it is faulty. He told me to let the pump run for at least two hours before I switch on the element to ensure the water is running strongly. I let the pump run for three hours before switching on the element. The same problem occurred. I phoned home again, he informed me that he will discuss it with his manager as he don’t think they will allowed a second faulty element., but he will phone me back. He phoned me on 29 April informing me that his manager said that I need a specialist Jacuzzi electrician to fix it, AAA electrical will meet me halfway and replace the element the next day but they will not install it. The specialist Jacuzzi electrician must replace it. I am still today, waiting for the element. On 30 April I phoned another electrician to come and have a look, he charged me R650.00 for a call out. I explained him what Lee told me. The first thing he does is to take his gadget to test the voltages at the various circuit breakers. He did not open the element to look at it. He established that the wire between the main circuit breaker and the elements circuit breaker was to thin, that the reason for the circuit breaker to trip. He replaced that peace of wire, about 20 centimetres long with a thicker wire. He waited for more than half an hour and the circuit breaker did not trip. The problem was solved. The temperature of my Jacuzzi is again gone up to 34 degrees without any problem and the circuit breaker never tripped again. Lee still up to today never gave me the element. I phoned their company various times and spoke to Elize, regarding a refund of my money but she kept on telling me she is investigating the matter and will come back to me. This happened about four times. On 24 May I phoned and insisted to speak to the director, Patrick from AAA electricians then spoke to me on behalf of the director. He informed that he will investigate the matter, he will come back to me in a couple of days. On the 31 May 2016 I had to phone him to find out what the outcome is regarding my refund. At first he did not recall our previous conversation. He then said Lee tested the wires – which are not true – and that the directors said that they are not going to refund the money. I have tried everything to speak to one of the directors, I even asked for an e-mail address and they give me ********** for a big company this is someone e-mail address to hide my complaint without directors knowing about that.
