Awning defective

Having requested quotations for an awning at my house I elected to accept the most expensive quotation from AAShades at a premium of some R20 000 to the next supplier. Goodness what a mistake. Apart from it being late the quality of the installation was extremely poor, to the extent that AAShades had to collect the awing twice for remedial repairs. Needless to say 12 months later the awning is still not repaired despite numerous requests, where it was supposed to be weather proof it is leaking water everywhere and there is still outstanding work. I should have seen the alarm flags come up when a huge deposit was requested to be paid, Julian al the time insisted on additional payments albeit the work was still outstanding and Julian always referred to how he is being sued all the time. Now I know why as I will be joining the queue. The most disappointing part is the fact AAShades being the most expensive quote and secondly what I have been dumped with can not be repaired so I am most probably in for another spend of R50 000. Never but never considered AAShades except if you have a very good legal team as you are going to use them. His excuses never end.
