A2Z Pool Services - Solomon Pretorius - Worst Pool non-repair service I've experienced
I tried to use A2z Pool Services for a leak between my pool weir and the pump early in March 2026 in Hartebee****rt. The owner, Solomon Pretorius could not give me a standard written quote and I ended up with a Whats app message below: "Drein pool water then ,then remove 2 row of tiles. Cut in to concrete with diamond blade same as 2 row tiles and dig ahole for replaceing 50mm Pipe ,from wheir to pool pump with fittings and pvc high presure glue.Then replace wheir as well with new gaskets.put cocrete back and replace tils with grout. And put water back And and replace multi port gasket as well and see that every thing is working right and sign off. R15999 SJ Pretorius Absa bank" Clearly he can't spell. I paid 50% for the work to start and by the 26th of March the work was "done" but could not be tested due to heavy rains at the time. I trusted Sol from the last bit of the W App and paid the outstanding amount but when he eventually did get to test his "repair" the problem persisted and he then stated that it was a pool pump issue for which he quoted me a ridiculous market related price to replace the pump. A 2nd opinion showed that the pump had nothing to do with the still persisting problem. Thereafter it's been excuse after excuse to the point that he had "an accident with an angle grinder and almost lost his hand .. the stitches would take 4 days to come out" What a load of ...... It's now the 25th of May and Solomon has blocked my number, not taking calls or W Apps. From my experience with Solomon Pretorius I'll never refer anyone to him or his "services" to anyone. Soloman Pretorius from A2Z Pool Services is very unprofessional, abusive to staff and completely unreliable. He failed to deliver goods I've paid for upfront and has disappeared. The workmanship if this company is also shockingly poor. I wouldn't recommend anyone deal with this ****bag.
