Towing and storage costs

My son was involved in an accident on Sunday morning on the 8 February 2015, a tow truck towed the vehicle to A & N panelbeaters in Potchefstroom (21 Ross Street Potch Industria), which is less than six kilometres from the accident scene. I came to collect the vehicle at nine o'clock and was told the lady responsible was in a meeting. I subsequently came back at ten o'clock and was given a scribbled note reflecting an amount of R2 850.00 which was the \release note". When I inquired about this huge amount. I was informed by the lady that this was industry standard. There was no breakdown for either the towing fee nor the storage costs. No effort was even made to try to explain.
