Not to be trusted, ********* business!

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with Autus woodworks and granite, with an address at 77 Douw Grobler, Largo, Springs. On 8 March 2026, a deposit of R16,000, amounting to 60% of the total, was paid to them based on a quotation that stipulated commencement of installation after 15-20 working days. After the lapse of this period, I contacted them on 14 April to inquire about the installation, and I was told they were running behind schedule without a clear expected completion date. A follow-up inquiry on 13 May was met with excuses of weather-related delays and public holidays. Upon requesting a refund after ample patience, I was ignored. A formal letter of demand also did not garner any response. AUTUS Woodworks only responded after a third-party intervention and admitted to not having funds for a refund, which suggests potential financial mismanagement. Further requests for proof of expenditure were met with silence. The lack of updates and communication over three months, coupled with their unprofessional conduct, is unacceptable. I plan to take this matter to the small claims court for resolution.
