Atrocious service regularly used by insurance companies , stay away.

A call away Plumbing & Electrical were called out to my property by my insurance company to repair my geyser.

There was a co-payment due which I diligently paid in 1 week or so later. Last week....approxiamtley five months later i get a call from a rather agressive a rude individual called Amy advising me that I have been blacklsited as a result of non payment . Depsite me sending the proof of payment and and confirmation by the Manager Ruan that indeed Amy had **** and that the company had not blacklisted me , no attempt has been made to date to correct the matter.

The experience went downhill from there. Their accounts representative (Amy) insisted that she had communicated with me but when asked for evidence was unable to supply any (which calls into question the accuracy of her claim). Further, I had explained to her that I am a director and an investor and am heavily dependent on a good credit record and that her error had a far reaching impact to me for which I am expecting some recourse. Her very arrogant response was that she would not charge me for removing from the blacklist rather than apologizing for her mistake.

I received a call from her manager explaining that they had received payment and that I had not been blacklisted. I mentioned to him that I require a formal letter from him confirming that I had not been blacklisted and that there would be no consequences to my credit rating. After repeated follow up, I still have not received the promised letter.

I was further promised that disciplinary action would be taken against the accounts division (Amy) for the error, for failure to follow up and for failure in handling the matter swiftly when I had confirmed that I had in fact paid. I have received no confirmation of this.

After attempting to contact the manager today, the accounts division advised me that the manager has left the country, refuses to give me the manager’s email address and refuses to put me into contact with any other available manager so that I may resolve the matter. Further, I have been hung up on twice.

Clearly this is unacceptable. Given that this service provider was recommended by my insurance company, I would like you to take the matter up as soon as possible. Further, I would urge you not to subject other clients to this level of service.

I have tried my best to be patient and to follow up regularly with no luck. Please be advised that the seriousness of this matter leaves me no choice but to lodge the matter with the consumer protector.
