Disgusted that a dealership as A and D SUPER MOTORS is allowed to continue trading.

Saturday 21st July I saw a BMW x3 2012 model advertised for R177 000 on Gumtree. I enquired about the vehicle and received a response from a sales person called Ignatius. On Monday Ignatius passed the info onto a gentleman called Emmanuel who told me that the vehicle was actually R184 999 and that the sales person advised it on Gumtree using his own will as they do no advertise on Gumtree but use auto trader. He said that if i purchase the vehicle cash they could negotiate a deal. I said I wanted to get finance. He said my bank will not finance the vehicle as they don't have a dealership number for it but mentioned they have a company who will finance it without a dealership no. I then got cash together and on Thursday I called him to tell him i have the cash. He then advised that a lady was there and she also wanted to purchase the vehicle. I enquired if the lady paid a deposit and he said no. Said I should pay a deposit to secure it. I did so. He sent me the registration papers to take out insurance. I booked my flights, took out insurance and was ready to collect me vehicle. Thursday evening I received a call saying they had a problem as that vehicle is no longer available but they have 2012 model for R215 000 with lower mileage if I could come up with the difference. I said no and I was told they will see what they can do as someone else already bought it. they would get back to me in the morning. I called early the next morning was told many stories. I threatened to expose them and was asked please not to do that saying they would refund my deposit. I booked flights for five adults as we were to drive back to Cape Town. They refunded my deposit but Iost the money of the flights, the insurance and I'm so disgusted that such dealers exist and they get to carry on trading.
