Damaging to Electrical

Terrible experience with A24/7, I phoned for an electrical compliance certificate, 3 people came to my home, the electrician David did the walkaround to check switches and plug points, not testing any of them, and just switched the lights on and off. I left one of the guys in my garage to check the DB, while I walked through the house with David. The distance from my room to the gargae is less than 10m, and as I was walking to the garage I could smell fresh electrical/plastic burns. I am certain they burnt a cord, and then they tell me that lightning struck the DB, and I need to replace 3 different things. The burn on the cord looks fresh. This is so pathetic, they obviously did not admit to burning the cords. The manager David also threatened to list me on ITC, for refusing to pay their callout fee. So basically they quote you and then come damage stuff so they can make a quick buck!
