Shocking service from a failing company

I would like to start off this review by saying I am not interested in the copy paste corporate appea*****t response from Payfast. I created a Hellopeter account for the first time in my life to specifically warn others about this company.

Shocking service from Payfast. Signed up as a merchant, verification took over 2 months and around 5 emails asking for status updates. There is no internal communication between teams and there is no sense of urgency. The only reason I was actually verified was because I followed up - if I didn't follow up I would still be stuck in limbo.

They expect a ridiculous amount of money to be held back as a "retainer" against ***** yet I've been in business for longer than Payfast has. I would not trust this company to hold any amount of money given the extremely low level of service received.

Payfast is still stuck in the stone age and will not be around much longer. I signed up to Yoco and was verified within 10 minutes, no issues - a VERY smooth process. It was amazing having actual support staff reach out to assist, well done Yoco!

Payfast, your competitors offer a MUCH better service and better rates with actual functioning customer service, if you do not change your ways you will be out of business within 5 years or less.
