Merchants Avoid Payfast

As a Payfast Merchant, I have been using their payment system to handle online transactions for many years. However, since they became Payfast by Network, their system has been plagued with errors. For the past two months, they have consistently failed to send ITN on transactions for at least two hours, despite having already taken the money from clients. This delay causes WooCommerce to release the stock.

When attempting to resolve these issues, I have experienced long hold times of at least 20 minutes, only to be told that the ITN was sent, despite no evidence to support this claim. Then without discussing anything with you they simply close your ticket, so ghat if you want to speak to them you need to start the whole process again. The only aspect Payfast manages flawlessly each month is deducting their commission.

As a merchant, I am actively seeking an alternative payment system and cannot recommend Payfast for online businesses.
