In October 2024, Payfast deducted R534

In October 2024, Payfast deducted R534.00 from my account while I was making a payment to a different company for goods I ordered from an online store. Four years earlier, their system had an error that resulted in them refunding money to us instead of transferring it to the company we were dealing with in 2021. I paid that company directly in March 2021. Now, they claim I still owe them money from this alleged outstanding amount. Since October 2024, I have not received any response regarding the refund of my improperly retained money.

You rep**** but you don't seem to understand that as per my message you *******ly debited me with 1407.99 from a payment meant to go to Reliablestore, which had in the mean time closed business. Your system glitched, refunded the money to our account, so we contacted the business and paid them directly on 3 March 2021.

Payfast never, in the almost 4 years let me know, hey we have an outstanding balance connected to your email. I have done multiple payfast payment from that email in the meantime BUT when your system glitched again on 25 October 2024, I suddenly have an issue.

How am I to find that proof of payment now when we have changed banks and cleared our emails? You see my issue on the trust factor going to zero. And now according to our emails, the "remaining balance of R873.99 from this offset was fully cleared and written off by our Head of Department (HOD) last year, 2024."

Excuse me, so you blatantly ***** for me and then just clwar the "balance" I owe you apparently.

I want my money back!
