As long as they get their commission...
PayFast do not have any consumer protection mechanisms in place and seem happy to accept payments on behalf of businesses that are no longer in operation. While they are "not responsible for the fulfilment of orders", it's hard to justify why anyone would trust them to process a payment given that they don't mind that they are essentially aiding and abetting theft.
When asked how they vetted businesses and whether they did any checks on the business, they were silent on the matter, choosing to quote their legal disclaimers once again.
