4 max properties

NEVER rent through 4max properties! You WILL NOT get back your deposit. Of the R9000 deposit we paid we only received R188 after we moved out. The rules stated to us was that we can put nails in the wall just as long as we repair the marks once we move out. We asked permission for this and permission was granted by 4max properties. When we knew we were moving out I requested the colour of the painting on the walls so I can repair the nail marks. Only then are we not allowed to do any repair work ourselves as the handyman of the complex is responsible for all repair work. Long story short, we get charged R3500 for painting and materials. R3500 and we only had 3 nails in the wall! Where do you buy this expensive paint and materials?? R1600 labour charges to repair a few marks? Clearly I am in the wrong choice of career. We got charged R150 for a light bulb that was never even working when we moved in! Do you charge every tenant R150 for light bulbs you never replace?? In fact, we replaced 2 light bulbs when we moved in that was not working. Plastic curtain ending at R10 each? There were no curtain endings when we moved in. Our second bedroom which we never used had a loose door handle. We got charged R490 for this? Absolutely ridiculous as you clearly should just tighten with a *****driver! When we moved in we were promised the damage to the unit in the bathroom will be repaired very soon as the handyman has a busy schedule. In the year we lived in the apartment the damage was never repaired. So for a year we could not even close the bathroom door due to the damage! You get charged for all these small things that probably will not be done for the next tenant, or should I say victim... This is absolutely pathetic from 4max properties!! We went through all the trouble we could for 4max properties when they wanted new tenants to come and view the apartment. We were never late on paying our rent. We thoroughly cleaned the apartment when moving out and still we get charged 500 for cleaning fee.

4max properties Will ***** your deposit! You can go through as much trouble as possible and still you will be a victim of theft!! Only after we moved out I read all the shocking reviews of 4max properties, which was a big mistake on my part!
