WORST PLACE EVER. 4 TOTI SANDS!

4 Toti Sands is an accommodation in Amanzimtoti, South Africa. It is the worst place ever. If it was up to us, it'd be removed from Bookings.com. The lady who was suppose to help us with the key was very rude and condescending. She littery banged our car denying to give us the key. She rushed us when we got to Durban. She had, apparently, made plans for her holiday and couldn't wait for us to check in at 2pm as stated. She demanded that we drop whatever we were doing to come and get the keys. When we got to the place she told us she's left home and we should drive to her place and get the keys. That is where she attacked us and demanded a R500 fee before giving us the keys. She took advantage of our desperation. Her house was isolated, in a forestry area, which made it easy for her and the owner to abuse and manipulate us. It was a traumatic experience. When we got to the house, the keys wouldn't work and so the gate wouldn't open. We waited for hours trying to contact them. When we eventually got them, they told us there's nothing they can do as they are far from us. We had to make means and get the gate to open by asking for help. The house was dirty not maintained as expected. The toilet was dirty which was a health hazard. Dishes not washed. The outside lights were not working. Fridge was dirty with pests. Laundromat was disgusting with old detergents. One of the rooms had extra mattresses which were not shown on the booking site, which made the room clustered. The towels were not washed and as for the shower you couldn't even step in with all the dirt. The ceiling was letting in huge amounts of water during the rainfall as it was leaking. The neighbours made the experience awful by all the fireworks they let out at night which made sleep an impossible mission. When we explained all of this to the owner, she told us that that wasn't a hotel, our expectations were too high. We were ****med. She demanded R500, which she did not return, before giving us the keys after driving to hers. The rules they gave us aren't the rules they had submitted to bookings.com. She also demanded R150 if we were to check in the house after 6pm. We had explained to her we will be leaving at 5AM. She didn't explain anything about where to drop the keys. We had to think and make a plan for her. It's safe to say that was one of the most traumatic and condescending experiences we've ever faced. We'd appreciate if Booking.com handle this so we can be reimbursed and no other person faces this. We'd leave reviews but they turned them off because they are fully aware of their treatment towards guests.
