Poor service and long delays does not warrant the lower price offered

Only use 4 Cities Furniture Removals if you are desperate for a low price and date of delivery and customer service is of no concern to you. We booked a move from Durban to Cape Town and agreed to be flexible on the moving date if it would mean a better price. We requested collection between 6 and 15 August as we would be flying to Cape Town on the 16th. Collection in Durban was confirmed for 15 August with delivery estimated on 20 August. (We assumed that this was what was meant by "flexibility" - giving a 10 days range for collection). On the 15th of August we were informed that there was a problem with transport and our goods would only be collected on the 22nd. We needed to arrange for someone else to dispatch our furniture as we were already in Cape Town at this time and the truck finally showed up on 23 August. After being assured by Elise at 4 Cities every week that our furniture would definitely be delivered the next week, it was only delivered on 16 September - 27 days after the original delivery date and 33 days after the original collection date. We called Elise at 4 Cities more than 20 times of which the phone was only answered once, we sent numerous emails and whatsapps and received feedback and updates very sporadically and only ever after we followed up. I would caution anyone against using this service unless low price is your only requirement - in my mind the poor customer service, long delays and stress about if you will ever see your furniture again does not warrant the reduced price they charge.
