3Sixtylife Insurance

I took out funeral insurance for my mom 10 years ago. Subsequently, I have read the articles on 3sixtylife being under curatorship. I sent a query regarding paying up the policy or a refund of contributions. I suspect that should something happen to my mom, this fund will be in liquidation. My monthly contribution is more or less R900 per month for a R31 000.00 policy. The policy value does not increase as the premiums increase. I have paid more in contributions than the value of the policy, so why the policy can not be paid up, is beyond me. If I calculate my contributions at an average of R500 per month, I paid the full amount in 5 years. Having paid for a further 5 years, I have paid approximately R62 000.00. Then you read NUMSA is involved. They are a union who are supposed to have member's interests at heart. I have no words.
