Quick, easy and great service. Called in for stock, ordered online. Got 2 days after order via Courier Guy. Price was R500 cheaper than others and the part was packaged well and care when sent

I purchased a brand-new petrol pump from 3S Auto Spares and experienced significant issues from the outset. The unit proved defective immediately after installation, producing a loud whistling noise that is not consistent with a properly functioning fuel pump. The installation was carried out correctly, and all necessary procedures were followed. I promptly raised the issue and provided video evidence of the fault. Despite this, the supplier failed to handle the matter in a reasonable or customer-focused manner. Instead, they re**** strictly on internal “company policy” to refuse any form of refund, as well as rejecting liability for courier costs (R170), labour, or the inconvenience caused. This is particularly concerning given that I had specifically arranged and paid for my own courier to avoid travelling approximately 55 km to their premises. Their communication throughout was dismissive and inflexible. For context, the WhatsApp exchange included the following: • They queried whether additional components had been replaced • After I sent a video of the noise, no acknowledgement was made of the fault • I was instructed to “abide” by their process and advised that no refund could be issued without inspection • When I explained that I could not attend during weekdays, I was simply told their business hours are “weekdays only, 9–5” Importantly, when my husband spoke to Sharlin, he advised that we would bring the vehicle in on a Saturday, and this was agreed to at the time, with no mention whatsoever that they do not operate on Saturdays. This was only raised later, creating further inconvenience and confusion. They subsequently denied operating on weekends, despite my prior visit occurring on a Saturday. When this inconsistency was raised, the response was dismissive (“refer to Google”). As I work during the week I could only go on a Saturday. I only see my husband on weekends therefore he was also unable to take my car in for me during the week. Their final written position was: • No refunds on electrical components once fitted • No reimbur*****t for courier, labour, or travel costs • Mandatory in-person inspection within a strict timeframe Additionally, no invoice was provided for this transaction. In terms of the Consumer Protection Act (CPA): • Section 55 provides that consumers are entitled to goods that are of good quality, in good working order, and free of defects. • Section 56 provides for an imp**** warranty of quality, which allows the consumer to return defective goods within 6 months and choose between a repair, replacement, or refund. • Suppliers may not override these rights with internal policies. It is therefore unreasonable and contrary to the CPA to deny a refund outright or shift the burden and cost onto the consumer when a product fails immediately after installation. A supplier of automotive parts is expected to act in good faith and provide fair recourse when a product is faulty. Instead, this matter was reduced to a rigid enforcement of internal policies, with no regard for fairness, legal obligations, or customer service. I would caution others to be aware of these practices before choosing to do business with this supplier. Oh, and of course they are going to reply with a supposedly "final" answer on this, but I am warning you to really be careful before making use of their services.
