I have a 360PLUS maintenance plan. I took out this cover in November 2013 (It was paid in full). Thus far the maintenance plan has only covered the replacement of the front brakes.

Today, 10 February 2017, 360PLUS (Pty) Ltd/ Liquid Capital (Pty) Ltd/ Imperial Group rejected my claim for a clutch replacement. They based their findings on photos that were sent through by the dealership. An assessor did not physically come to the premises to inspect the clutch. The report that they forwarded to me follows:

"

Please find report as requested

By the looks of the damages on this clutch the transmission side is completely ********** and the flywheel side still showing good lining retention.

The release bearing is a “mushroom” form. Indication of being in consistent contact with the pressure plate.

The evidence of the “mushroom” shape the release bearing has taken can also be identified on the rear of the pressure plate as the tension fingers display deep ridging where the release bearing makes contact.

This kind of damages can be identified as either a sticky release bearing / cable sticky / or prolonged engagement of the clutch during gear selection.

This is incorrect driving practice – Clutch Rejected"

I have been mistreated, and unfairly treated at the hands of this organisation. I will not recommend them. Their maintenance plan is not much better than a mere service plan. I regret signing up with them. Vehicle owners beware!
