Service Plan Cancellation Rejected

After selling my vehicle I had to cancel my plan. Struggling for the last 3 weeks to cancel. Today after numerous attempts finally got an email back that states that they can't cancel my plan due to a shortfall amount that must be paid before they can cancel. Went through my service documentation that they sent me on the 15/09/2016 when I started the plan but nothing of this was mentioned at all.
