Stay away from 31 Milkwood Street, Zimbali

Should you be like me and save up for the whole year for just one amazing holiday, DO NOT book at 31 Milkwood Street, Zimbali! The owners are ******* and *****! During the most expensive holiday in my life, I was expecting the holiday of a lifetime, considering the price - instead I was greeted with the most horrible time of my life. Totally erratic to non-existent power supply (No fault of Eskom but entirely due to mains breaker at the house) as well as equipment that does not work. E.g. Non-functioning tumble dryer forced me to live through my entire holiday experience with wet, smelly towels (it rained everyday while I was there so could not hang towels on the line). Kids mistakenly broke a lamp during my stay and I immediately reported the incident to the owner. He is now forcing me to pay a ridiculous amount which he thumb-sucked from nowhere so he can furnish the whole house! Stay away from 31 Milkwood Street, Zimbali as well as the agents Zimbali Condo as they are just as useless. There are much better and friendlier holiday homes in Zimbali that make you feel like royalty when spending so much of your hard earned money.

We are unhappy with the review provided, as this client's comments are inaccurate.

The breakage that occurred during the guest’s stay was discovered by the owner and NOT reported by the guest.
In fact the guest tried to hide this breakage and deny it at first and only afterwards did he admit that his child had broken the lamp.
This exact lamp has been discontinued so we would need to replace it with a new/different set.
We would need to purchase a set / 2 lamps as the décor needs to be uniform.
The client would therefore be expected to pay the same amount for the replacement.
The owner offered the client the opportunity to replace the lamps himself and informed the client that the quality must be of the same standard.
The client offered unsuitable, inferior options from Mr Price which the owner cannot accept.

The client broke an item during his stay and he must therefore pay for the breakage OR make a suitable replacement.
This is an up market, luxury home with expensive décor items. We cannot replace a high quality item with a cheap item, as this does not meet with the standard of the home.

This client is now posting defamatory comments online.

The official business reply by 31 Milkwood is a complete lie. I fortunately have saved the communique between myself and your agent (Rehanna who works at ZIMBALICONDO) whereby I informed her of the breakage DURING my stay at 31 Milkwood and thereafter also received a reply from Rehanna confirming the receipt of the text. The texts between myself and Rehanna have the dates showing it was during my stay indicating that I hid nothing. The owner discovered nothing other than a possible client he thought he could *******!

I think your lies are an attempt to distract the readers' attention from the other areas I complained about. Basically, Mr "up-market, luxury" home can’t even provide proper electricity and functioning equipment!?! Maybe the funds you ***** from your next customer can used to buy a proper tumble dryer... or maybe just install a clothes line to satisfy your thriftiness.

If you feel your position in the matter is so righteous, why are you ducking and diving from the investigations conducted by the Department of Tourism? Do you have something to hide? Are you not able to lie so easily when proof is requested from you?

I say again: Stay away from 31 Milkwood Street, Zimbali. They are ******* and ***** and do not deserve your hard earned money.

Edit: "install an undercover clothes line to satisfy your thriftiness."
