Such Humiliation

<p>Rushed into 3@1 in Randridge Mall today as I needed to fax something very urgent but ran out of cash. Keep in mind I live out on a farm (West Rand). So the nearest fax place is 20km. This was extremely important. I asked the elderly white lady how much and she said R8! R8 for a fax?!?!? Everyone else charges R5! So I threw my purse out on the counter and managed to scratch R5.50 together in 10 cent pieces. I asked her very nice and I am 100% certain she could see just how desperate I was. She blatantly said no in a rude manner and humiliated me. As though it wasn't humiliating enough to stand counting 10 cent pieces. Any human could have seen how badly I needed help but this woman is cold. R2.50 difference? Wow it would have cost her the job to help a desperate human in need. Sad what this world has come to. So sad that 1 person is no longer in any way prepared to lend the next a hand.</p>
