Pricing mechanism skewed

The pricing scheme for scanning vs printing is ridiculous. You can print a B&W page for R1.50 that uses resources (paper and ink) but scanning costs R4 per page- no resources used except the 5 minutes to load the files on your memory stick! How does that work?
