Phone faulty less than a week of repairs and I a new claim and excess amount being asked by 24hour mobility
Iyooo...where do I start! I submitted my claim on the 21 Sep 2020 for a dropped phone that had a damaged screen. The phone was picked up on the 25 Sept and returned on the 02 Oct 2020. The phone was working until Wednesday 7th or Thursday 08th Oct where the speaker was gong on and off and I am using this 2 days loosely as I initially thought I was probably holding the phone too close to my ear. On the afternoon of Saturday 10th Oct 2020 the speaker stopped working and I sent an email seeking assistance. On Monday 12th October 2020, the phone was picked up before 10:30. I was very impressed with the efficiency I even forgot to disable the disable the passcode and log out of my icloud I was reminded when I got a call asking for my passcode on Wednesday 14 Oct 2020. by Friday 16th Oct I had not heard from anyone so I sent an email to find out when I should expect the phone back. I received an email advising me that the fault with the speaker was a "new fault" and that I had to resubmit a new claim form and that "IF" the claim was approved I am expected to pay another excess amount which would invariably have gone up because this is a second claim in a space of a month. Like how does this happen, barely a week and the phone is not working without it being dropped? There was not a scratch on the phone when it was taken in the second time how do I explain the damage like their form is asking me to? I have no record of whether this speaker was tested when the phone was taken in as the first time, a dropped phone would obviously affect the speaker. When I asked this, I was told a motherboard was damaged but what I want to know is haw did the damage to the motherboard occur - did it not happen when the phone fell the first time? I have contacted iStore and they have confirmed that a fall does result in a motherboard getting damaged. The repair center should have checked the motherboard and the speaker. What other damage is on this phone that I did not think of when I submitted the claim that their repair center knows could be as a result of a fall and they did not check and test? Will I also be expected to submit another claim and pay another increased excess again for something that they failed to pick when they were supposedly fixing it the first time. This is an iPhone 7 128g that is insured for R160000 which is no longer the value of an make of this make of a phone. The amount of the access that I am expected for the second repair claim is the same as the one I'd be expected to pay for a replacement phone. Why should I pay this amount for a repair of an almost 3 year old phone instead of getting a replacement. This does not make financial sense to me. I took the all risk cover to mitigate for all the issues I might experience with the phone to avoid the inconvenience however the inconvenience that I am experiencing is not providing me with value for money. In 2 days, it's be a month since I submitted this *** mobility please make this make sense to me as your customer

Do you perhaps have an estimated time of when I should be expecting the phone back. There has been no contact like you advised there would be in both your responses.
