No Notice of Insurance Cancellation
I took out insurance with 24 Hour Mobility/pinnacle on my Samsung Galaxy S2 when I took a contract out with MTN in 2012. I remained on that contract and never had any issues with the phone that were not covered by warranty and so never claimed during that period. When my phone was damaged I did attempt to claim (although the warranty covered the damage so I did not end up claiming) and the process was impossible.

In January 2014, I upgraded my contract with MTN and got a new phone which I have been using since then. Both MTN and 24Hour Mobility neglected to tell me that my insurance contract on my old phone would continue and if I want to cancel it I must do phone and do this. While I admit it is reasonable that I phone to cancel an insurance contract, it is ridiculous that I was not notified that it was continuing and I have paid a monthly amount to them for a phone I do not use. This is over R1500 wasted.

I urge you to reconsider using 24Hour Mobility and ensure you read their agreements and be wary because you could be paying them for nothing for the rest of your life if you are not careful.
With regards to the above, please find that with each Upgrade it is the responsibility of the Policy Holder to contact the Broker to update the Policy.
Alternatively, where there is no longer a need for the device to be insured a 30 days' notice is to be given to the Broker giving notice of Cancellation in writing. However since we have Call Recording, we do also accept telephonically.
Please find that the insurance and MTN Contract was 2 seperate contracts and the insurance cover does not automatically cancel on expiration of contract. Request to Cancel must come from the insured.
Please find that in respect of the Policy, SMS communication was sent and successfully delivered to your handset on 16/07/2014, with a link to your Policy Schedule.
Please find that should you have any further queries to the above, you are welcome to contact me directly on ***.
