Insurance Companies Rip Us Off
<p>I'm disgusted in insurance companies who are very quick to take our money but when we clain they run to fine print. So I have religiously paid my cell phone insurance with 24HR Mobility for more than 2 years and now that I want to claim, they say I have not used the number that I registered with in the phone. So is the number or the phone insured? They will incorporate anything into the contract so that you will bot be paid out. Disgusting I tell you! </p>

Please be advised that the underwriter is bound by the terms of the policy and is only able to approve a claim, provided all of the obligations of the policy have been met. A previous claim under this policy number was approved as all of the terms of the policy where met.
The policy wording states:
It is important to note that the MOBILE DEVICE is only covered whilst being used with the
SIMCARD encoded with telephone number listed on your Schedule. The policy allows for up to
2 numbers to be listed on the schedule. Either one of these listed numbers must be used in
the insured device at all times.
You can change your cell phone number at any time but the MOBILE DEVICE will only be
covered if your broker, Pinnacle Marketing (Pty) Ltd has been notified of the change.
I have investigated the claim and can confirm that the claim has been declined due to different SIM usage.
Please note that the policy further states:
In the event of a device that has been damaged and the claim has been declined, the Insurer
will suspend cover for accidental physical or liquid damage until such time that proof of
repairs for the device is submitted to the Insurer.
As the broker we do not have the authority to over turn the decision of the underwriter who is bound by the terms of the policy.

Thats just what I dont like, just because you are covered in the policy and rob poeple does not make it right. My money was diligently taken even after my upgrade was done.
It is easy to just put all the blaim on the client. I still maintain that when you take out insurance, the phone should be insured regardless of the number being used. I used that phone with WiFi all the time and religiously paid my premium. Do you tink I would have done that if I had known that I needed a sim in it. I think you prey on people who are ******** of al your fine print.
But that is okay. You continue robing people, it will catch up someday.
Please cancel my account or do will you still take my money even if you know that I dont have a sim card in it?
wait dont answer, I know you will!
