Insurance claim declined
I have been insured with 24 hour mobility for the past 4 and have never claimed before and there was never a day my debit order bounced or gave them issues with paying. I just tried to claim for the 1st time and my claim was declined because its not water damage. That on their system the IMEI number doesn't correspond with the phone insured. MTN and their insurance broker have ****** me my contribution of 4 years and are telling me they cannot fix my phone. I am so mad and I want my money back.

I do apologize for the late reply on Hello Peter,
The claim has been declined as the policy only covers accidental physical damage, liquid damage, loss and theft.
As there was no such damage to the handset the underwriter was unable to move forward with this claim.
Please also be advised that should you need to submit a claim please do so within 30 days from the date of damage or loss/theft, the underwriter can only approve a claim if it is covered by the policy and all obligations of the policy has been met.
I do see that this policy has since been cancelled.
