Different levels of useless

This is not my experience, but because I am working for this lady, it has become mine, stress and all. My boss dropped her Apple I phone 6 into water in January of this year. On the 10th of January she returned the phone to MTN and she was told that she has to take it to their walk in fixing centre, which she did. The deal with the MTN fixing centre and the new insurance company of MTN is that the insurance company has to send a courier to fetch the phone. According to the fixing centre, they told the insurance company a long time ago that the phone is beyond repair. After phoning literally 30 times or more (seriously) and having to hold on for the longest time which was 1 hour, the least 40 minutes, only to be told that they don't have the phone, and they are going to send a courier and keep us up to date. The last time we phoned was last week and Friday the 3rd of March, we were promised that the phone will be delivered on Tuesday the 07th March. No phone till today. I think MTN dropped the ball when they gave the insurance to these people. They are beyond useless.

The number of the phone that is in question is ********** 233.

We need answers. What is going on? When are we going to get a new phone? Why is MTN using this company?

Good Afternoon,
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
The handset was dispatched yesterday from the supplier and should be received during the course of the day today via courier.
This handset should never have gone to MTN's repair center HVRC who are there to assist with warranty and non-insured matters. In the event of a claim the claim should first be assessed by the underwriter who will advise of the outcome, request excess and arrange collection of the device.
I have looked into the matter and do see that the underwriter experienced a lot of trouble trying to get this handset from HVRC and this caused a lot of the delay.
I am happy to confirm that the handset is on its way to the client and should be delivered during the course of the day today.
Kind Regards
