Cellphone Claim
I called your office yesterday and spoke to George McCallum.You are aware that MTN is on a national strike and none of their CallCentre is operational .I went to the MTN store in Cresta Mall and they completed the blacklisting form because I could not get through to their callcentre due to the strike and they gave me reference which is the one I listed on the claim form that George had provided to me and he said this would be sufficient as a confirmation that I have notified them and this 24hour mobility will make a note off..I sent the form back today and I get a response from Jabu Buthelezi that just says the phone is not blacklisted .I called back to explain and I spoke to Zandi who then tells me that its not their fault that MTN is on strike and they will not assist in any way,so whether it takes 3 or 6 month for that strike I must just wait for it.MTN strike is not my fault either and I have made means to get some confirmation that I have reported the phone to one of their store which I was told would be ok and now its not acceptable. <br> <br> <br> <br>

We do apologize for the inconvenience caused and can assure you that the claim is pending on our system. The claim however cannot be approved until the handset has been blacklisted. This is a legal requirement.
I am sorry to hear that you where given the incorrect information, At the time we where hoping that this would be accepted by the insurer.
No claims pending blacklisting can be approved/ finalized. It is not our intention to delay your claim unnecessarily and we will ensure swift action is taken once blacklisting has been confirmed.
The MTN strike is out of our hands and although we en-devour to supply speedy service we are only able to do so once all relevant information has been obtained.
