Nonchalant and unprofessional

Good day,

My geyser was replaced at the end of February 2016 by one of 24Fix plumbers. On Thursday 27 October 2016, I noticed my kitchen ceiling was stained and upon investigation discovered that one of the pipes were leaking.

24Fix advised that a plumber will be sent the following day at 5:30pm due to being fully booked.

During the morning of Friday, 28 October 2016, the leak had become worse and started dripping through the joins of the ceiling boards in my passage, lounge and kitchen.

I emailed Tonia Orru as I dealt with her previously and her nonchalant responses were quite frustrating. I asked if a plumber could please be sent sooner due to the leak being worse and she advised no plumbers were available and I’d have to wait until 5:30pm.

However, when I called the Support Centre the consultant was able to send a plumber through at 3:30pm.

Also, we discovered that when the first plumber replaced my geyser in February, they left the old geyser drip tray, blanket and spares boxes up in my roof. I find the quality of the workmanship very poor and disappointing.

Attached, you will find pictures of damages to my ceiling when the plumber inspected and fixed the pipe/s on Friday. He advised that someone will be sent to repair the ceiling, however I’ve heard nothing from 24Fix since Friday, even though I sent Tonia 2 emails this morning requesting feedback.

I was told by Tonia that “There could be various reasons why there is water leaking.”

I also think that me having to submit a claim to my insurance company is unfair as I can’t be held liable for a leaking pipe due to a botched up geyser installation.

Thank you and looking forward to your response.
