Worse Experience ever
I have a policy with One life which i took out in November 2013. They called me last year to upgrade my policy and i didnt at the time. This year i was diagnosed with PE which im taking treatment and left with 2 months to finish the treatment. I called 1Life and told them about the diagnoses and they had told me it does not affect my cover because i was diagnosed after i have had the life cover. They also explained to me that i cannot increase the Life cover due to my current condition which i was fine i said it was fine. I asked for an updated Policy and i havent had it and they also told me that they cannot note my medical conditions on my policy i must submit proof. And i explained to them that i was diagnosed in Hospital by a specialist which i will see in July at the end of my treatment. I really dont understand what is going on, since i had had this condition 1Life has taken an ugly turn into how they treat my policy. Today they sent me a form with wrong Surname and addressed MR and i am a MISS also with my ID number and policy number to sign. Like what is that ??? How do i sign something that is incorrect and no one explained what the form was about.
Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
I was informed that one of our consultants did contact you and the matter was resolved.
As per the conversation you had, we have noted your condition as per your request.
It will however not affect your current policy unless if you increase it. The new underwriting for the increased portion will have to be done and the PMA form will need to be filled by your doctor with details of your condition.
We do apologise for the misunderstanding and any inconvenience that this matter might have caused on your side.
Should you wish to discuss this matter further, please contact our Resolutions Department on ***.
