Vaild Claim Declined for Dread Diease

I wish to report the following with regards to my policy with 1Life, I had been diagnosed with cancer on the 28th June, I contacted 1Life to request a claim on the 3rd of July, was told the process takes 48 hours.

On the 30th of July I submitted all requested paper work, only to be advised when I called to esquire about the claim status they required additional paperwork. Having two major operations and the inconvenience and risk(infections /germs) of going to the police station for a Affidavit and obtaining other information form my family doctors in Durban and JHB. I had to pay for all forms completed by the GP and specialist. The additional support was submitted on the 8th August. After a number of phone calls I only received feedback from the accessor on the 22nd Aug advising my claim had been declined due to the stage of cancer. My policy does not state, nor did any customer claim service representative disclose that the stage of my cancer had to be over stage 3 to have a valid claim, had I been informed of such I would not have supported the additional paperwork (Affidavit etc.) I have paid my premiums on time every month since 2007 and this policy with 1Life has been more of an expense than any benefit to me. I was not even compensated for the premiums I paid and the additional cost of completing the claim forms.

The products offered by 1Life are a misconception to me the consumer and I wish that other consumers will not be persuaded to purchase any 1Life insurance products.
