Using my confidential details in spam

Dear 1Life Please could you explain to me why I am getting marketing spam for your 1Life Funeral Cover plan via a company called InsuranceFundi in which I am given my private information which they should not know and asked to confirm said information? The information includes full name, mobile number and ID number.

I have adjusted my review upwards. I received a genuine apology, and assurances that database adjustments would be made and that it would stop. It would be nice if this business of buying and selling contact details for this sort of purpose would stop entirely. There are less off-putting ways to market your services. My number is listed on the Direct Marketing Association National OPT OUT Database but it seems there might have been a good reason, if a check was done, why it slipped the net.
