2008 I was offered a policy with 1life, 2013 I received another call offering me the same policy, not an upgrade. Over the years my account has been debited for both policies. I decided to call 1 life last year November 2018 to inquire on the the policies. I'm then told that the policy I was offered in 2013 is the exact same as the policy I has in 2008. I then requested that they investigate why i was sold the same policy and not given an option to upgrade my existing policy. Below are the findings from 1 Life.
Dear Mr Classie
Re: 1Life-181 ********** Mr Classie, Xavier Policy number: ********** 33
Further to my communication of 11/01/2019, I have now investigated your complaint fully and would like to apologise for the delay in providing feedback, and for the inconvenience/distress this has caused you.
Confirmation was received from our Quality Assurance department and as per the sales call dated 28/03/2013, it was found that you were misled in to accepting cover as the consultant did not clearly advise that they were offering a new policy and not upgrading on the existing policy ( ********** 08) which commenced on the 01 November 2008.
As discussed during our telephonic discussion, kindly accept this letter as confirmation that as of 11 January 2019,1Life policy number ********** 33 has been cancelled.
Your cover has been stopped. The contract is invalid, and we will not be liable for any benefits after the above cancellation date.
A total of R 4274.43 for the premiums that were successfully collected from the commencement of the policy will be refunded in to your bank account by no later than 18/01/19. The monthly premiums deducted are as follows;
Up until today no refund was made, and no one gets back to you. This is **************** and the service is pathetic.
Best regards,
Best regards,
