I received a call from the consultant mentioned above, the call was to confirm my cancellation request which I sent through sometime last week. He asked why I was canceling my policy with the company, to which I responded by saying I was trying to cut costs wherever I could. He then advised me by saying we could adjust the cover amount to half so that I could pay less in premiums. We looked at that but I still wanted to cancel as I told him as well, that I have a life insurance policy that's more mature than the one I took out with 1Life. He also advised me that if I cancel now I could come back to 1Life when I'm more financially stable and re-instate the policy. He did not judge for wanting to cancel the policy as one would expect, nor did he use '*****' tactics to try and retain me as a client. I appreciate that.
