Easy to obtain, difficult to cancel
Early September I phoned the call centre to cancel my insurance. Another agent contacted me to try and talk me out of it, she wasn't able to. She said that she would send me an sms of the email address I have to send an email to in order to cancel the policy. She also confirmed that no further deductions will be made off of my account. I never got her sms and I had to call again. Another agent promised to send the email address, nothing was received. I phoned for a third time and eventually got the email address. I sent the email on the 15th of last month instructing to cancel the policy and to not deduct any further payments as my new insurance is in effect as of 1 October. 2 days ago your agent phoned me again to try and talk me out of it. We weren't able to finish our conversation and he said that he'd call me back later. No one called me since. And guess what went off of my account this morning.... The installment. Which means that I am now officially over insured and I paid double payments as I've already paid the other insurer as well. Good job. Refund my money! And please phone people back when you're trying to convince them to keep your product. Which I'm not going to.

(Supplier name changed from First For Women Insurance to 1Life by Hellopeter.com)
