Disappointment with my dreaded disease claim from 1life.

It is disappointing to know that life insurance with 1life and their claims process in terms of a dreaded disease will result in stress, disappointment and a long wait even when all relevant documents required are submitted timeously. My husband had multiple strokes past and present and in this time he was insured by 1life and diagnosed last year November 2026. All required documentation was submitted in February 2026 and till this date I'm still getting drips and drabs information required by the assessor Sunette Syce who ***********ly is looking for further information to determine if my husband was treated or have had strokes in the past even though all medical records and specialist reports prove that he had not been treated prior to me taking up the life cover with 1life. I was promised callbacks but was not received on all occasions. I have sent through emails which are ignored and only responded to days after. No communication with the assessor and I am always the one having to chase or follow up with the claim. They don't live up to their values. They say that living gives life where else they don't want to pay out a simple claim and cause so much stress for the client how is that living up to their values? They simple approach is something to their values where in my situation it was so hard to get the claims assessor to take my calls or to call me back. They say they focused on paying claims where in my situation they looking for every way not to move forward with my claim. It is a disappointment to know that this is a mere dreaded disease claim and I am having such a hassle in the event of a death what will be the case or how will I be assisted?

Word of advice if you looking for a company that offers life cover don't even look in the direction of 1life if I am having an issue with them now what says that you won't have an issue when you have a claim even after all documents have been sent they will still tell you they require more information after weeks of sitting with all the information then they decide let's go a different route to see how we can not pay out because as an assessor you would know what documents you would require not after sitting almost a month with information then decide you need more information ridiculous. I will be looking for a different insurer for myself and other family members who currently have insurance with 1life.
